News Topical, Digital Desk : Indian-origin US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) chief Kash Patel has landed in trouble after providing high-profile SWAT security to his singer girlfriend Alexis Wilkins.

Patel, who is already under fire from the Congress party on numerous issues, has also been investigated for this decision. He is reported to have been dating a folk singer for some time.

Everyone's ears perked up when they saw Alexis Wilkins enter the National Rifle Association's annual convention with two SWAT team security guards.

The SWAT team is a highly trained unit of the US.

The SWAT team is a highly trained US unit, known for its expertise in rescuing hostages from terrorist-held buildings. Sensing no danger, the two security personnel returned. Patel then complained to the team commander that the two security personnel had not performed their duties properly.

Patel's lavish use of taxpayer-funded resources during his first nine months in office has raised questions within the administration about whether this is within the bounds of standard practice. This included the excessive use of security to protect himself and his girlfriend.

Kash Patel has also used the government jet.

He has also used the government jet for some of his recreational trips, such as Patel's trip with friends to play golf at a private resort in Scotland over the summer. Wilkins's provision of government security to attend events or demonstrations has drawn particular attention.

Some right-wing online figures, including Patel supporters, have criticized the move. Grace Chong, an influencer working for Donald Trump, wrote on X asking if Wilkins was Kash's wife. Steve Bannon also questioned the bureau's use of resources on internet media platforms.

Current and former FBI officials have also called the case bizarre, saying SWAT teams are not extensively trained in VIP protection and are used only as a supplementary force.
