New Delhi: Many films hit the box office this Independence Day. The echo of films from Hindi to South was seen at the ticket window. Among all these, the roar of Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao starrer 'Stree 2' was heard the most.
This film made a mark by earning huge profits from the very first day. But the other movies released along with it have also done no less wonders, one of which is Chiyaan Vikram's 'Tangallan'.
Many South movies released
More than 5 South Indian films were released on 15 August, including 'Mr. Bachchan', 'Nanakuji', 'Krishnam Prenaya Sakhi', ' Tangalana ', 'Demonte Colony 2' and ' Double Ismart '. The most talked about film among these is Tangalana, in which Chiyaan Vikram is playing a different character.
Tanglan's magic in South movies
'Tangal' is a movie based on the backdrop of 1850. The film faced a ban before its release. However, after the ban was lifted, it is earning well at the box office in the initial days. It has earned the highest among the films released on 15 August.
Tangalan movie had an opening of 13.3 crores. There was a drop in the earnings on Friday. The film did a business of 4.75 crores. On Saturday, once again, there was a jump in its collection. According to the report of Saccanilk, Tangalan movie has earned 5.75 crores. This has made the total business of the film 23.80 crores. However, these figures are subject to change. Jagran does not confirm these.
These South Indian films were left behind
'Tangal' movie is currently one of the biggest South Indian movies. It has left behind Sanjay Dutt's 'Double Ismart' and Vikram Teja's 'Mr. Bachchan' in terms of earnings. Mr. Bachchan's movie has collected 7.35 crores in three days. On the other hand, Double Ismart movie has done a business of 10.10 crores. This movie is also ahead of other recently released South Indian movies.
