Actually, Shama Sikander was suffering from mental illnesses like depression and bipolar disorder. She has talked about this in a recent interview.
Did you inherit mental illness from your grandmother?
In an interview to Bollywood Bubble, Shama Sikander said, “15 years ago I was going through a bad phase. I had severe depression and bipolar disorder. That's when I came to know that my grandmother could also have bipolar disorder because it is genetic. She also used to do such things that people used to say that she was possessed by a ghost. I have also done similar things. Since I am sensible and live in today's time, I understood that I am not possessed by a ghost. That's when I left my career and the industry.”
Before committing suicide, he had given his bank details to his brother
The ' Mann ' actress further revealed that she had tried to commit suicide but her family saved her. The actress said that she wanted to be born again as another person. She was tired of making people happy. After consuming the sleeping pills, the actress shared her bank details with her brother who was attending a wedding. On the other hand, her mother was reading the Quran.
The doctor removed the poison overnight
When Shama suddenly sent bank details to her brother, he got suspicious and called her mother. When her mother went to wake her up, she did not wake up and she was taken to the hospital. The actress says that even 6 people were unable to lift her. The doctors removed the poison from her body throughout the night and then she was saved.
