
News Topical, Digital Desk : Bihar Municipalities Elections: The Election Commission of India has arranged for e-voting for the first time in the municipal elections, in which elderly and disabled voters have been given the facility to vote from home. A total of 51000 voters from all over Bihar have registered for e-voting. A total of 62.41 percent votes were cast in the elections of 42 municipalities of Bihar on Saturday.
When voting started for the municipal elections on Saturday, voting also started through mobile apps. Voting started at 7 am. On one hand, while voting is being done through EVMs at all the booths, voters sitting at home also cast their votes through mobile apps. Voting took place at a total of 489 booths. These voters will decide the fate of 538 candidates.
A total of 2600 people had registered in Bikram Nagar Panchayat. Bikram BDO Pankaj Kumar said that all the voters who used e-voting did not face any problem, for this the district and the Election Commission had given training for it before the elections. The biggest thing in this entire process is that e-voting will be done only till 1 o'clock. An elderly voter of Bikram Nagar Panchayat of Patna district did e-voting from home.
