News Topical, Digital Desk : House cleaning is underway, and shopping is also on the rise. On the auspicious occasion of Diwali, while you're busy cleaning and decorating your home, it's important to ensure that Goddess Lakshmi resides in your home. This festival not only symbolizes the victory of light over darkness, but is also considered highly auspicious for the worship of Goddess Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth, and Lord Ganesha. It's believed that following the rules of Vastu Shastra on this day helps bring positive energy into the home, bringing happiness, prosperity, and wealth. This is also important because negativity often creeps in along with positivity, so it's essential to keep certain things in mind.

the corners will become sentinels

If you have cleaned all the parts of the house but the corners remain dirty, then understand that all your hard work has gone waste. Cleaning of the house will be complete only when you clean its corners with equal importance. Corners play an important role in strengthening your positivity. Be it a room or kitchen or bathroom, clean the corners thoroughly. On Dhanteras, Choti Diwali and Badi Diwali, make a small bundle of saffron and rice or turmeric and rice and keep it in all the four corners of the house. After the festival, put this material in the house plants. Keeping a pinch of turmeric on the heap of rice keeps prosperity in the house throughout the year.

Center prosperity

The prayer room is the center of your spiritual practice, but the center of the home is also considered an area of prosperity. On all three days of Diwali (Dhanteras, Choti Diwali, and Badi Diwali), be sure to light a lamp in the center of the house. This lamp should be placed on flowers or on a copper plate. This will ensure that the center of positivity in your home remains illuminated. In earlier times, this place used to be surrounded by a Tulsi plant, where a lamp was lit daily. Today, this is not possible in most homes, so during these Diwali days, brighten it with a decorative rangoli.

Lakshmi arrives at the entrance

It's obvious that your home is well-prepared, but if the entrance itself isn't ready for her arrival, how will it attract Goddess Lakshmi? Since this year is number nine, place three lotus flowers or nine roses at the entrance. Plant a bamboo plant or other auspicious indoor plant to bring positive energy into the home. During the Diwali puja, place three silver or three gold coins, or other items symbolizing prosperity, or at least three, six, or nine 500-rupee notes. Place two betel nuts with these coins. These betel nuts represent Riddhi (happiness, prosperity) and Siddhi (the vehicle of wealth through wisdom, experience, and skill).

After the puja is over, combine these coins and betel nuts with a little dried coriander and make a bundle. Keep this bundle in your cash box or safe for the entire year. This remedy will help Goddess Lakshmi reside there throughout the year. By adopting these small, yet effective measures, you can welcome prosperity and positivity into your home. Have a blessed Diwali and may you celebrate every day with the same enthusiasm as Diwali!
