New Delhi: The march of former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, who returned from Tihar Jail after 17 months, which was to be held today, Wednesday, has been postponed. This march was to be held at various places in the capital.

Now this padyatra of senior Aam Aadmi Party leader Manish Sisodia will start from 16th August instead of 14th August. Delhi Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj has given this information in a press conference. He said that this has been done on the request of Delhi Police for security reasons on Independence Day.

Padyatra will start from Greater Kailash- AAP

During this, Saurabh Bhardwaj also expressed his views on the controversy of flag hoisting. He said, "If any minister of the elected government hoists the flag on 15th August, it respects the people of Delhi. The real meaning of independence is that the elected people should run the country and the state and not the imposed people."

It is noteworthy that Manish Sisodia was released on bail on Friday after being in jail for 17 months in the excise policy case. Since his release, he is in election mode.

Earlier, Sisodia had met Delhi MLAs and councillors on Monday and Tuesday. Now he will go door-to-door and meet the people of Delhi.
