News Topical, Digital Desk : Former Uttar Pradesh minister and Janata Party chief Swami Prasad Maurya has sparked a new controversy with a controversial statement. During a press conference, he said that some religious leaders have embarked on the path of terrorism. He said that the slogans of Jai Shri Ram and Jai Bajrang Bali have become a license to vandalize mosques, madrasas, and Eidgahs.
Swami Prasad Maurya also said that CM Yogi Adityanath supports such people and instead of taking action against them, his bulldozer runs on the houses of people of Muslim community.
He said that today the Chief Minister himself, ignoring the court's orders and taking responsibility for the matter upon himself, is razing the homes of innocent people. He demolishes madrasas and mosques. He even bulldozes the homes of Dalits, tribals, and backward classes.
'Bulldozers don't work on BJP-protected criminals'
Swami Prasad Maurya also said, "If there is a BJP-protected goon, mafia or criminal, then even by mistake a bulldozer does not go to his house. If there is a notorious criminal from the CM's community, then there is no bulldozer action on his house."
'Tomb demolished in Fatehpur by chanting Jai Shri Ram'
Maurya further said, "Similarly, the tomb in Fatehpur was vandalised with shovels while chanting Jai Shri Ram. In that case, a case was registered against the members of the Muslim community and the criminals were given a clean chit."
BJP retaliated
Meanwhile, the BJP has retaliated against Swami Prasad Maurya's statement. BJP spokesperson Anand Dubey said, "Swami Prasad Maurya has officially adopted Buddhism, but he preaches Sanatan Dharma day and night. By invoking Lord Ram's name, he is improving both his worldly and spiritual life, but he is misleading his supporters and others."
