Nagina MP Chandrashekhar Azad has demanded from CM Yogi Adityanath to increase the budget of the State Haj Committee from Rs 1 crore to Rs 5 crore and has cited the increasing number of Haj pilgrims and facilities.

Nagina MP Chandrashekhar Azad wrote on X- " It is to be respectfully informed that the Haj pilgrims of the state are an important part of our religious and cultural heritage . Every year a large number of Haj pilgrims depart from the state for the holy journey . It is the duty of the state government as well as a constitutional responsibility to provide necessary facilities and support to these pilgrims. At present, the budget of the State Haj Committee is only Rs 1 crore, which is not sufficient as per the increasing number and requirements of Haj pilgrims. It is extremely necessary to increase this budget to Rs 5 crore to provide quality facilities to the pilgrims. "

He further wrote- “ Therefore, it is a humble request to you to increase the budget of the State Haj Committee from Rs 1 crore to Rs 5 crore, so that better facilities and support can be provided to the Haj pilgrims.
