Ceasefire implemented, but pressure on PAK remains; These 6 decisions of India against Pakistan will remain in force:

News Topical, Digital Desk : India and Pakistan have agreed on an immediate ceasefire after tensions escalated across the border following the Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26 people. The ceasefire was the result of talks between Indian and Pakistani officials.

After Indian Armed Forces carried out precision strikes on terror launch pads in Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir under 'Operation Sindoor', Pakistan fired missiles and drones across the Line of Control and the International Border which were shot down by Indian Army's air defence systems.

Suspension of Indus Water Treaty

Government sources have confirmed that the Indus Water Treaty will remain suspended. Foreign Ministry sources said, "There are no pre-conditions in the ceasefire agreement reached on Saturday and the Indus Water Treaty will remain suspended."

Integrated check post will remain closed

The Integrated Check-Post at Attari will also remain closed. The Attari-Wagah border crossing between India and Pakistan has been completely closed after a week of heavy cross-border movement.

Trade restrictions

The ban on all imports from Pakistan, whether direct or through intermediaries, remains in place. Additionally, ships registered in Pakistan are barred from entering Indian ports and Indian ships are barred from accessing Pakistani ports.

Airspace closed

India will continue to close its airspace to flights to or from Pakistan, a move that came into effect on April 30.

Ban on Pakistani actors and actresses

Pakistan will continue to ban actors and artists in India in the interest of national security. In addition, all OTT platforms, media streaming services operating in India are required to block Pakistan's web series, movies, songs, podcasts and other digital content.

Visa Services for Pakistani Citizens

India will continue to suspend all types of visas for Pakistani nationals. After the Pahalgam terror attack, the government had suspended all categories of visas for Pakistani nationals and directed those already in India to leave by April 27. However, medical visas were extended till April 29, after which they too were cancelled.
