New Delhi: The country's main oil companies like Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) update petrol and diesel prices every day at 6 am. Oil marketing companies have updated the fuel price for 16 September 2024 (Monday).

According to the new update, the price of petrol remains unchanged in all the cities even today. This means that drivers can buy petrol at the old price.

The price is different in every city

The prices of petrol and diesel are different in metros and other cities. The reason for this is VAT (Vale Added Tax). Actually, VAT is imposed on fuel prices instead of GST. The rates of VAT are decided by the state government. In such a situation, the rate of VAT is different in every state, due to which its prices are also different in all cities.

Petrol and diesel prices in metros

The price of one litre petrol in Delhi is Rs 94.72 and the price of diesel is Rs 87.66 per litre.

In Mumbai, the price of petrol is ₹ 103.44 per litre and diesel is priced at ₹ 89.95 per litre.

In Kolkata, the price of petrol is ₹ 104.95 per litre and diesel is ₹ 91.75 per litre.

The price of petrol in Chennai is Rs 100.85 per liter and the price of diesel is Rs 92.32 per liter.

Noida: Petrol is Rs 94.66 per liter and diesel is Rs 87.96 per liter

Gurugram: Petrol Rs 95.04 per liter and diesel Rs 88.05 per liter

Bengaluru: Petrol at Rs 102.84 per liter and diesel at Rs 88.92 per liter

Chandigarh: Petrol is Rs 94.22 per liter and diesel is Rs 82.38 per liter

Hyderabad: Petrol at Rs 107.39 per liter and diesel at Rs 95.63 per liter

Jaipur: Petrol is Rs 104.86 per liter and diesel is Rs 90.34 per liter

Patna: Petrol is Rs 105.16 per liter and diesel is Rs 92.03 per liter
