SBI Cards Shares Strong Rebound: Stock Surges Over 4.5 Percent Past ₹660 as Experts Outline

SBI Cards and Payment Services Limited witnessed robust buying momentum on Thursday, emerging as the top gainer in the Futures and Options (F&O) segment. After enduring a prolonged downward trend that weighed heavily on investor sentiment over the past year, the stock rallied over 4.5 percent during the session to trade above the ₹663 mark. Opening the day at ₹641, the counter gained further traction in early trades, scaling an intraday high of ₹667.40 and inching closer to its crucial 200-day moving average (DMA).

Technical Outlook and Crucial Resistance Levels

Market analysts are closely monitoring the sudden turnaround in SBI Cards shares. Jigar S. Patel, senior analyst at Anand Rathi Investment Services, noted that the stock has established a solid base around support levels of ₹630. According to Patel, if the counter successfully breaks and sustains above the immediate resistance threshold of ₹670, it could pave the way for a swift northward journey toward the ₹700 milestone.

Overcoming Past Declines and Market Position

The recent recovery offers much-needed relief to long-term investors who have witnessed consistent selling pressure over the past year. After touching peaks above ₹1,000 in July 2025, the stock faced a steep correction, sliding to a low of ₹565 by June of this year. While the counter has registered a year-to-date decline of roughly 23 percent—following an impressive 30 percent gain throughout 2025—renewed institutional interest and positive sectoral momentum are beginning to restore market confidence. Headquartered in Gurugram, the State Bank of India subsidiary commands a market capitalization of approximately ₹63,000 crore as India's leading pure-play credit card issuer.
