Senior religious leader and Juna Akhara Mahamandaleshwar Swami Yatindranand Giri has sparked significant political discourse following sharp comments regarding the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and national leadership. During a visit to Bareilly, Swami Yatindranand responded directly to recent remarks made by RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat at the 'One World One Humanity' conference in New York, urging the ideological parent organization to formally clarify its definitions of Hindutva and nationalism to eliminate confusion among its grassroots volunteers.

Calling for Clarification on RSS Ideology

Swami Yatindranand noted that recent ideological shifts within the RSS have left many swayamsevaks and traditional volunteers uncertain. Emphasizing that India's civilizational identity is inextricably bound to eternal Sanatan culture, he argued that the nation cannot be understood or defined without it. He stressed the importance of context in statements regarding religious and cultural identity, reiterating traditional stances on India's ancient heritage.

Endorsing Yogi Adityanath and Warning the BJP Cadre

Turning to national politics, the Mahamandaleshwar heaped high praise on Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, declaring that the 'Yogi model' of governance is receiving global appreciation. He stated firmly that Yogi Adityanath should be the prime choice for the nation's leadership, while cautioning the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) that neglecting its dedicated ground-level cadre or relying excessively on political imports could prove costly in upcoming electoral battles.

Critical Remarks on Opposition and Historical Identity

Expanding on his remarks, Swami Yatindranand launched a scathing critique of opposition figures, specifically targeting Rahul Gandhi by questioning his seriousness regarding national progress and suggesting that his political approach fails to resonate with India's core ethos. Additionally, touching upon communal harmony and history, he asserted that Indian Muslims share ancestral roots in Sanatan Dharma, recalling historical conversions under medieval rulers.
