
News Topical, Digital Desk : Monsoon has once again gained momentum in Bihar . On Tuesday morning, there was heavy rain in many districts including Patna. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy rain in 9 districts of the state.
In these districts, the possibility of very heavy rainfall has been predicted in East Champaran , West Champaran and Gopalganj , whereas an alert has been issued for lightning and thunder along with heavy rainfall in Saran, Siwan , Samastipur , Begusarai , Khagaria and Jamui

Monsoon was active in many districts since late night on Tuesday . Due to heavy rains in the capital Patna and surrounding areas since morning, people had to face problems in commuting.
The Meteorological Department had issued a yellow alert for East Champaran , West Champaran , Gopalganj , Saran, Siwan , Patna, Vaishali , Bhojpur , Nawada and Madhubani from 3:55 am . This alert was expected to remain effective till 7 am.
Wind speed and possibility of lightning
The Meteorological Department has warned that strong winds can blow at a speed of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour in many districts. Apart from this, there is also a danger of lightning and thunder.
There is a possibility of cloudy weather and moderate rainfall in all the districts of North Bihar and Patna, Gaya, Nalanda , Jehanabad , Begusarai , Bhojpur and Nawada in South Bihar.
There was heavy rain last Monday as well
Monsoon remained active in the state on Monday as well . Khagaria recorded 158 mm rainfall, which was the highest. Apart from this, 95.4 mm rainfall was recorded in Vaishali , 89.4 mm in Gaya , 87.8 mm in Saran and Madhubani , 84.4 mm in Darbhanga , 73.4 mm in Khusrupur of Patna and 72 mm in Siwan and Samastipur .
Heavy rainfall was reported on Tuesday evening with an orange alert in West Champaran , East Champaran , Gopalganj , Siwan , Muzaffarpur , Aurangabad , Arwal and Gaya .

Due to continuous rains , the temperature of the state has dropped . Patna recorded a temperature of 31.4 degrees Celsius with a drop of 0.4 degrees . The maximum temperature in Purnia was 33.4 degrees , while the lowest temperature was recorded in Saharsa at 29.5 degrees Celsius . The average temperature of the state remains between 30 to 31 degrees Celsius .
