News Topical, Digital Desk : Big Order News: Pune-based Kirloskar Brothers Ltd. (KBL) has received a major order worth ₹214 crore from Adani Power Limited and its affiliates for the supply, installation, and commissioning of circulating water pumps for thermal power projects.
According to information released by the company, the order has been placed by Adani Power Limited and its subsidiaries, Anuppur Thermal Energy (MP) Private Limited and Korba Power Limited. Under this contract, Kirloskar Brothers will supply pump packages, as well as their erection, testing, and commissioning. This includes circulating water pumps (concrete volute technology) and auxiliary cooling water pumps, along with associated electrical and control systems. The project will be completed within 18-24 months. The company is required to complete the work within 18 to 24 months from the date of receipt of the order. Payment will be made in a phased manner, with payment at the delivery point and the remaining amount after installation and commissioning. A defect liability period of 12 months has also been set from the date of commissioning. This order pertains to domestic projects and thermal power projects located in the states of Madhya Pradesh, Assam, Chhattisgarh, and Bihar. The company has clarified that the promoter or group companies have no interest in this transaction and this is not a related party transaction. With this order, Kirloskar Brothers' order book is expected to strengthen further, which may support the company's revenue and operational performance in the future.
