
News Topical, Digital Desk : Maharashtra Fund For Temples : The Mahayuti government has approved schemes worth more than Rs 5,000 crore for the development of famous temples and pilgrimage sites. These schemes include Rs 1,865 crore for Tulja Bhavani temple in Dharashiv, Rs 1,445 crore for Mahalaxmi temple in Kolhapur, Rs 829 crore for the temple located at Mahurgad in Nanded, Rs 275 crore for Trimbakeshwar temple in Nashik and Rs 259.59 crore for Jyotiba temple in Kolhapur.
In a major step towards strengthening healthcare and medical education in rural Maharashtra, the Mahayuti government led by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has approved the establishment of a new government medical college in the district. Its estimated cost will be Rs 485.08 crore.
The college will have the capacity to admit 100 students and will also have a 430-bed hospital. This college has been dedicated to the name of Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar.
Apart from this, many other decisions were also taken focusing on the welfare of women. 'Adi Shakti Abhiyan' will be implemented across the state to empower women. The aim of this campaign is to sensitively address issues related to women's health, reduce malnutrition, infant mortality and maternal mortality, increase education rate among girls, prevent sexual and physical abuse, promote women's leadership role in Panchayat Raj system and strengthen women's economic independence. Rs 10.5 crore has been allocated for this campaign.
In addition, a film will be made on the life of this great social reformer in Marathi and other languages to present his works at the global level. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis announced that this film will be released internationally.
