News Topical, Digital Desk : There are innumerable mythological texts in Hindu religious texts, which are a storehouse of knowledge. One of these is the Bhagavad Gita, which is considered a very sacred text. Not only this, Shrimadbhagavad Gita is also one of the most read religious texts.
According to the story of Mahabharata, when Lord Krishna was preaching the Gita to Arjuna on the battlefield, apart from Arjuna, four other people were also listening to this sermon. Let's know about this...
He also heard the preaching of Gita
Apart from Arjun, Hanuman ji also heard the sermon of Gita. According to the story, as per the promise given to Arjun, during the war of Mahabharata, Pawanputra Hanuman was seated in the flag of Arjun's chariot and was protecting the chariot. Therefore, when the sermon of Gita was going on, Hanuman ji also heard it.
Who listened to Geeta including Sanjay?
Sanjaya, a disciple of Maharishi Vyas and a respected member of Dhritarashtra's court, had also heard the preaching of the Gita. Sanjaya had received the boon of divine sight from Maharishi Ved Vyas. As a result, he was narrating the eyewitness account of the battle of Kurukshetra to Dhritarashtra.
In such a situation, when Lord Krishna was preaching the Gita to Arjuna, Sanjaya also got the privilege of listening to it. Along with this, he also saw the colossal form of God. He narrated this sermon to Dhritarashtra in the same way as Lord Krishna was narrating it to Arjuna.
Barbarik had received this boon
Barbarik, the son of Ghatotkach and Ahilavati, had also heard this sermon. He was Bhima's grandson. When the war of Mahabharata was going on, Barbarik also set out to participate in the war. When Shri Krishna came to know about this, he understood that if Barbarik reached the war, then there would be no conclusion to this war.
Actually, Barbarik always stood on the side of the person or side that was defeated. Who was weak. In such a situation, when the Pandavas became weak, Barbarik would fight on their side. When the Kauravas became weak, Barbarik would go to their side.
In such a situation, Lord Krishna took the form of a Brahmin and performed a leela and asked for his head. Laughing, Barbarik donated his head, but told the Brahmin that you are not ordinary. Please show me your real form.
Pleased with this, Lord Krishna not only appeared in his original form, but also gave the boon that he could see this war taking place. Therefore, when Lord Krishna was preaching the Gita to Arjun, Barbarik also heard it. Later he came to be worshipped by the name of Khatu Shyam.
