Despite collecting thousands of crores of rupees toll, the Highway Authority is neither improving the condition of the roads nor providing any facility to the truck drivers.

Transporters have appealed to get the national highway repaired

Transporters have met the officials of National Highways Authority of India and requested them to repair the national highway in Kutch district. Transporters say that the government earns two thousand crore rupees annually from Samakhiali toll post alone, but the authority has not provided any facility like breakdown facility or ambulance for truck drivers here.

Goods worth thousands of crores of rupees are transported through this toll post every year. The transporters have closed the toll post so that their message can reach the authorities.
