New Delhi: In recent times, many things being sold in the market are being adulterated. One of them is petrol, which everyone uses for their bikes. For a good bike, the quality of petrol needs to be good. Here we are telling you how you can identify real and fake petrol at home. Let's know about it.

Check filter paper like this

You can use filter paper to check the purity of petrol. If a few drops of petrol are dropped on it and it forms a stain, then the petrol is adulterated. If you do not have filter paper, then you can also check the purity of petrol with the help of A4 paper. You will easily get this paper in the market for one rupee. Drop a few drops of petrol on it like the filter paper. If a stain is formed on the paper, then the petrol is adulterated. If the filter paper remains stain-free like the A4 paper, then the petrol is pure.

Check the density of petrol

You can check the density of petrol using a hydrometer, special thermometer and some other instruments. However, the facility to check the purity of petrol by this method is available only in laboratories or at petrol pumps.

What is the density of pure petrol?

The density of pure petrol has been determined by Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited, which is between 730 and 800. This is written on the petrol pump machine. If the petrol is between this then it is pure. On the other hand, if the density of petrol is more than 800, then it directly means that the petrol has been adulterated.
