News Topical, Digital Desk : Amaal Malik is one of today's most well-known music composers. Last year, the singer appeared as a contestant on Bigg Boss Season 19. Here, he shared several anecdotes from his life, raising questions about whether all is not well between Amaal and his family.

Amal had to struggle a lot

Now, in a conversation with Pinkvilla, the singer has shed more light on this. During the conversation, Amaal Malik talked about his early days and revealed that despite coming from a musical background, he struggled for more than 10 years. He said, “The 10 years that I saw from the age of 15 to 25, people usually look at it as a different timeline, but for me, it was all very good because all those struggles, all those difficulties, all those obstacles came in the initial phase of my life.”

Singers roamed the streets

He added, "At 15, I was roaming the streets, doing my own thing, whether it was as an assistant or as a delivery boy." Amaal explained that he never got anything handed to him on a platter. He also worked as an assistant and even went around with a hard disk to earn money.

Amal made a shocking revelation

But the most shocking thing was that people treated him strangely because of his family name. "Wherever I got a job as an assistant, as soon as they found out my surname was Malik, they would fire me... They would say that because I come from a musical background, I might sell their music or something. That kind of perception was prevalent. So this is exactly what happened to me and my brother Armaan Malik," the singer said.
