News Topical, Digital Desk : A grand gathering of devotion and faith was witnessed today in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, on the occasion of Nishad Raj Jayanti. At a ceremony held at Nishad Raj Square, city MLA Ved Prakash Gupta paid homage to Nishad Raj by garlanding his statue. A large number of members of the Nishad community and local citizens were present.
Nishad Raj Jayanti was celebrated with great enthusiasm and devotion in the Ramnagari city of Ayodhya. As part of the program, city MLA Ved Prakash Gupta reached Nishad Raj Square, where he garlanded the statue of Maharaj Nishad Raj and remembered his contributions.
The MLA remembered the Ramayana incident.
On this occasion, the MLA said that the relationship between Nishad Raj and Lord Shri Ram is not just an incident but an example of faith and devotion. He also recalled the incident from the Ramayana when Kevat dedicated his boat to help Lord Shri Ram cross the Ganges during his exile.
The MLA said, "Sometimes even God needs his devotees, and Nishad Raj's contribution embodies that sentiment." Expressing gratitude to the Nishad community, he said that Nishad Raj holds a very important place in Ayodhya, and the story of Rama is considered incomplete without him.

He also said that the role of Nishad Raj in the life of Lord Ram presents an ideal, one that conveys the message of service, dedication, and true devotion. Nishad Raj should always be respected in the cultural and religious heritage of Ayodhya.
In addition to the daily rituals, a large number of devotees also gathered in Ayodhya to commemorate Nishad Raj Jayanti. A statue of Nishad Raj has been installed in Ayodhya alongside Lord Ram. A large section of his followers are his followers.
