After this, the plane was taken back to Patna's Jayaprakash Narayan International Airport. Airport officials have informed that due to bird hit, one of the engines of the plane developed a technical fault.

Patna Airport issued a statement regarding this incident, which said that "Immediately after the takeoff of the aircraft from Patna to Delhi, at 8:42 am Indian time, there was a report of a bird hit by the aircraft. During investigation, a dead bird was found in pieces on the runway. The aircraft was also informed about this through the Approach Control Unit. A message was received from the Approach Control Unit that the aircraft was requested to return to Patna due to vibration in one of the engines. Local stand-by was declared and the aircraft landed safely on Runway 7 at 9:03 am Indian time."

According to the information given by the airport officials, all 175 passengers and crew members on board the plane are safe. The flight will be inspected. Officials have informed that the airlines will make alternative arrangements to take the passengers to their destination.
