New Delhi:   Pradosh Vrat 2024: Pradosh Vrat is dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is said that on this day one receives special blessings of Mahadev and happiness and peace comes in life. There are two Pradosh fasts every month. Let us tell you, on the day of Pradosh, people keep fast and worship Lord Shiva. Auspicious time of Pradosh fast:
The second Pradosh fast of this month will be observed on Trayodashi date of Phalgun Shukla Paksha on Friday, March 22, 2024. Pradosh Kaal is from 6:17 pm to 8:46 pm on 22nd March. Based on the puja time of Pradosh, the last Pradosh fast of March will be observed on 22nd March. The fasting person should worship Lord Shiva during this time only.  

Worship method of Pradosh Vrat: On the day of Pradosh Vrat, take bath in the morning and wear clean red clothes. After this, make a square with cow dung at the place of worship and install the idols of Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati on it. Light the lamp and perform Aarti of Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati with incense sticks. After this, chant Shiv Chalisa, Om Namah Shivay mantra. Pray to Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati for fulfillment of your wishes.
 

Importance of Pradosh Vrat:
Pradosh Vrat is a special fast to please Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati. By observing this fast, wishes are fulfilled and sins are destroyed.
This fast provides relief from all kinds of troubles. This fast provides happiness, prosperity and success.  

Follow these rules on the day of Pradosh Vrat. One  
should not consume meat, alcohol or tamasic food on this day. Celibacy should be followed on this day. One should avoid anger, lies, theft, etc. on the day of Pradosh fast. One should do charity.
