Then King Janak performed a Mahayagya in his kingdom i.e. Mithila. During this yagya, King Janak established Shivalinga (Shiva Lingas significance). After this, he worshiped Mother Parvati along with Lord Shiva. At this place, Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati gave the boon of completion of the yagya and getting Mother Sita as a daughter. During this yagya, King Janak started plowing. At that time Mother Sita was born. With the birth of Mother Sita, heavy rain started from the sky. This will solve the problem of famine.
