Dehradun Weather News: In Uttarakhand's capital Dehradun, the game of hide and seek between clouds and sunshine has been going on for the last two days. Due to the presence of clouds and light winds, the coolness has increased in the morning and evening. However, according to the Meteorological Department, there is no possibility of rain at present and the weather will remain dry in most areas for the next few days.
Due to clouds and light winds, a slight drop in temperature is being recorded in Dehradun. Cold is being felt in the morning and evening, while the temperature remains somewhat normal due to light sunshine in the afternoon. The Meteorological Department has predicted that similar weather will remain in Doon for the next few days and the cold is likely to increase gradually. Apart from this, fog and mist are also expected in some areas at night, which may affect visibility in the morning.
Chill increases in Mussoorie and hilly areas
There have been reports of frost falling at night in Mussoorie and surrounding hilly areas, which has increased the chill even more. There has been a slight drop in the minimum temperature in the hilly areas, but it still remains two to four degrees Celsius above normal. The maximum temperature is also normal or slightly higher than normal, due to which a slight warmth is felt during the day. However, the effect of cold is more at night.
According to the Director of Meteorological Center, Bikram Singh, fog and mist are likely to cover the plains of Uttarakhand including Dehradun this morning. This may affect the visibility in the morning. Apart from this, the weather is expected to remain dry in other districts of the state and light clouds may remain during the day. There is a possibility of a slight drop in temperature, but there is no possibility of rain at the moment. Thus, the weather may remain like this throughout the state for the next few days.
Temperature condition in the capital
On Saturday, Dehradun remained cloudy since morning and after noon, cold was felt with light winds. The maximum temperature was recorded at 27.4 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature was 16.8 degrees Celsius. Similarly, in Udham Singh Nagar, the maximum temperature was recorded at 29.5 degrees and the minimum at 17.6 degrees. Mukteshwar's maximum temperature was 20.1 degrees and the minimum temperature was 8.0 degrees, while New Tehri's maximum temperature was 20.2 and the minimum temperature was 10.6 degrees.
According to meteorologists, there is no possibility of rain in Uttarakhand for the next few days. The cold is gradually increasing in the state and the temperature may drop further in the coming days. Experts say that fog and mist may persist in the morning in the plains and hilly areas, due to which cold may be felt more at some places.
