Vat Savitri Purnima fast worship method

On the day of Vat Purnima, married women observe fast for the entire day. On this day, women should wake up early in the morning and take a holy bath. Wear traditional red coloured clothes.

After this, women should do sixteen adornments. Prepare satvik food for bhog prasad. Take raw thread, a vessel filled with water, turmeric, kumkum, flowers and all the worship material and go to the place where there is a Banyan tree. Offer water to the Banyan tree and light a lamp of desi ghee in front of it. After this, offer all the worship material one by one. Then circumambulate around the tree 7 times and tie white raw thread around it.
