  • Wear protective clothing- When you go out in the sun, wear protective clothing that covers your skin. This includes long-sleeved shirts, pants, and hats. Wear light and loose clothes, as these provide more protection from the sun's rays.
  • Wear sunglasses- Sunglasses help protect your eyes and surrounding skin from the sun's harmful UV rays. Choose sunglasses that provide 100% UV protection. Choose sunglasses labeled "UV400" or "100% UV protection."
  • Avoid tanning beds- While using tanning beds, the body is exposed to UV rays. Using tanning beds can damage cells and increase the risk of skin cancer . Therefore, choose other safe options for a tanned look.
  • Examine your body- Check your skin regularly to spot any changes or abnormalities. If you notice any new moles, warts or lesions on your skin, contact a doctor immediately.
  • Healthy diet- Include more fruits and vegetables in your diet. Foods containing anti-oxidants and omega-3 fatty acids help reduce oxidative stress, which reduces the risk of skin cancer.
  • Adopt a healthy lifestyle- Adopting a healthy lifestyle can reduce your risk of skin cancer. This includes eating healthy, exercising regularly, and not smoking.
