Varanasi News: The city of Lord Vishwanath and Prime Minister Narendra Modi's parliamentary constituency Varanasi is going to get a big gift. The country's widest rail and road bridge will be built in Kashi. This was approved in the Union Cabinet meeting held on Wednesday. This bridge, which will be built right next to the 137-year-old Malviya Bridge on the Ganga, will have a six-lane road above and a four-lane rail track below. With the construction of this bridge, people's time and diesel will be saved.

The new bridge, which will be built at a cost of about 2642 crores, will also save 8 crore liters of diesel every year, i.e. 638 crores. Currently, large vehicles coming from Chandauli to Varanasi are prohibited from climbing the 137-year-old Malviya Bridge. In such a situation, these vehicles have to come from Dafi bypass. This saves time and consumes more diesel. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will reach his parliamentary constituency Varanasi on Sunday, i.e. 20 November. There is a buzz that the Prime Minister can also announce a project worth crores of rupees during this time. It is also believed that the foundation stone of the bridge can also be laid during this time.

After the construction
and opening of this bridge, the transportation by rail and road from UP to Bihar and the states of Northeast India will become easy and economical. Meanwhile, the Yogi government is preparing to run a metro train in Bareilly. The metro survey in Bareilly has been completed. A 22 km long metro corridor will be built with this Rs. 6000 crore project. Rail India Technical and Economic Service (RITES) has submitted its report to the Bareilly Vikas Prakaran. After the metro train starts, people will not have to face problems in traffic jams.
