Mau. Now teachers will not be able to do as they please in council schools. Now they will have to mark their attendance online. For this, the government is trying to give SIM cards to 2000 teachers in the first phase. For this, an agreement has been signed with Airtel company. This company will recharge the SIM cards of teachers every month.

75 GT data and calls will be provided free of cost on a SIM card every month. The department will keep paying the concerned company for this. The money for two months has been sent by the government. When the school opens after summer vacation, teachers will have to mark their attendance online.

SIM cards will be given to schools for online attendance

There are a total of 1208 council schools in the district. There are 761 primary schools, 158 upper primary schools and 289 composite schools. In the last session 2023-24, a total of 147147 children were enrolled. This year 153912 students have been enrolled. All the council schools of the district are opening after June 15.

The government has been directed to distribute SIM cards within a week for online attendance in schools. For this, tablets were distributed to teachers months ago, but they are not being used due to non-availability of SIM cards. 12 registers including the MDM register are not being made online. Most schools have been given two tablets each and some have been given one tablet. This will enable teachers to do this work.

Money sent for internet facility

The department has also sent funds to schools at the rate of Rs 200 per tablet for internet facility. Now when the schools reopen after summer vacation, arrangements will have to be made to convert all the registers of schools into digital registers.

The government has instructed that all the procedures for purchasing SIM cards should be completed. Information about this should also be shared on the group and SIM cards should be handed over to all the teachers immediately.

According to Mau BSA Santosh Kumar Upadhyay , all teachers have to mark their attendance online after the summer vacation. Hence, SIM cards will be provided to all teachers soon. An agreement has been signed with Airtel company. It will provide 75 GB data to teachers every month.
