next week is new year holiday

Along with this, the New Year fever is now visible in the global markets. While the current week has 4 trading sessions, the New Year 2025 is starting on Wednesday next week and on this day too many markets around the world are going to remain closed. There is a New Year holiday in the global markets but there is no holiday on January 1 in the Indian markets and on this day everything from the stock exchange to banks, government offices etc. in the country remain open. Yes, New Year holiday is definitely observed in some selected corporate offices which follow the global calendar.

The stock market will remain sluggish for the next few days

The enthusiasm of foreign investors in the last few days of the year and at the beginning of the new year is not seen in the market as it is seen in the rest of the year. The trend of the last several years shows that foreign investors redeem their investments from the markets of the world at the end of the year i.e. they withdraw money and use it for their holiday expenses and vacation tours etc. In these last days of the year, if we look at winter, it is at its peak and during this time tourists visit places where there is snowfall. On this basis, it can be said that holiday mood is going to be seen in the stock market for the next one week.
