Auto component maker Sona BLW Precision Forgings Ltd (Sona Comstar) on Monday (21 October) announced the inauguration and commencement of production of its new plant in Manesar, Haryana. Located in the Industrial Estate of IMT Manesar, this is the company's second plant dedicated to the driveline business in the region.

The company said in a statement to the stock exchange, "We are happy to inform you that the company has inaugurated its new plant in Manesar (Haryana) on 21 October 2024, whose address is Sector Near 2A, Industrial Estate, IMT Manesar, Gurugram, Haryana, 122050." Production starts today The new facility aims to meet the growing demand for Sona BLW driveline products. Sona BLW Precision Forgings said, "This is our second plant for the driveline business in IMT Manesar (Haryana). Production started today at the new plant. This plant will help meet the growing demand for the company's driveline products." Sona BLW Precision Forgings reported a 26.7 per cent year-on-year rise in profit for the first quarter ended June 30, 2024, at Rs 141.9 crore. The company said in a regulatory filing that in the same quarter last year, the company had reported a profit of Rs 112 crore.
