Sitaram Yechury Death: Leaders of various political parties across the country have condoled the death of Communist Party of India (Marxist) General Secretary Sitaram Yechury. Meanwhile, Samajwadi Party's chief general secretary Ram Gopal Yadav remembered him by sharing some pictures. He has expressed grief over his death through social media.

Ram Gopal Yadav wrote, 'The demise of Comrade Sitaram Yechury is extremely painful. He was the only leader who successfully bridged the sharp differences between the ruling party and the opposition in Indian politics. He was very dear to Comrade Surjeet. I first met Yechury ji at Surjeet sahab's house. Then he came to the Rajya Sabha.'

Incomparable contribution in politics

The SP leader said, 'My seat was on the right side of Yechury ji. When I became very emotional while bidding him farewell from the Rajya Sabha, Yechury ji stood up and calmed me down. He has made an incomparable contribution to Indian politics in and outside the Parliament. Yechury ji's death has created a void in the country's politics.'

He further wrote, 'It is very difficult to compensate for this. I stand with his family and all the workers of CPI(M) in this hour of grief. My humble tribute!' The SP leader has also shared three pictures with this post. Akhilesh Yadav has also expressed grief over his demise.

Akhilesh Yadav wrote, 'Senior politician of the country and CPM General Secretary Shri Sitaram Yechury ji passed away, very sad! May God give peace to his soul. May the bereaved family get the strength to bear this immense sorrow. Heartfelt tribute.'

Let us tell you that the CPI-M leader died on Thursday at 3.15 pm. He was ill for a long time and was undergoing treatment at Delhi AIIMS.
