Under the new National Education Policy, a unique ID code (APAAR) is being generated for the students studying in schools across the country. To generate Apaar ID, schools are registering the student's Aadhaar card and his educational record.

On the contrary, private educational institutions of Firozabad district are showing indifference towards the Apaar ID campaign, after which the Basic Education Department of Firozabad has issued a warning to private educational institutions regarding this.

 

According to Firozabad Basic Education Officer Ashish Kumar Pandey, there are 1827 council schools in Firozabad district. 1 lakh 38 thousand students are studying in these schools. Apaar IDs have been made for 90 to 92 percent of the students of council schools, the work of making Apaar IDs for the remaining 8 percent students is in progress. 


According to the Basic Education Officer, more than 1700 private educational institutions are operating in Firozabad district. About 2 lakh 70 thousand students are studying in these educational institutions. Private educational institutions are showing indifference towards the huge number of IDs of students.

Firozabad Basic Education Officer Ashish Kumar Pandey said that only 30 percent of the students in the private schools of the district have been able to generate Apaar ID. He said that the speed of generating Apaar ID in the district is very affected, due to which the Education Board is facing problems in providing the data of the students.
