New Delhi: The divorce of Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya, who separated in 2021, is once again making headlines. Recently, Telangana Minister Konda Surekha had blamed BRS leader KT Rama Rao for the ex-couple's divorce.
Surekha's controversial statement went viral on social media and celebrities criticized her a lot. Even Naga Chaitanya and Samantha slammed the minister for such a statement. Now Chaitanya's father has taken a big action.
Case filed against minister
Nagarjuna has filed an FIR against Minister Surekha for commenting on Samantha and Naga Chaitanya's divorce. Actor Naga Chaitanya has shared the copy of the FIR on X platform. Before filing the FIR, Nagarjuna had scolded her a lot.
Apologized for the statement
Nagarjuna had slammed Surekha for using movie stars to target her opponents. He also requested her to respect the privacy of others. He asked Surekha to withdraw her statement after terming such statements as false and rubbish. Later, the minister issued a statement and clarified and apologised to Samantha.
What was Konda Surekha's controversial statement
Konda Surekha had said in her statement that KT Rama Rao was responsible for Samantha and Naga Chaitanya's divorce as he had tapped their phones. Also, he has a habit of exploiting heroines. Surekha alleged that he used to hold rave parties, make them addicted to drugs and blackmail them. There is an uproar over this statement of hers. Many celebs including Allu Arjun and Jr NTR have supported Samantha.
