IMD Mahakumbh 2025:  The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has set up a dedicated webpage to provide weather updates for the Maha Kumbh. The Maha Kumbh began on Monday, with millions of people taking a dip in the Triveni Sangam - the confluence of the Ganges, Yamuna and the mythical Saraswati river. The Maha Kumbh Mela will continue till February 26.

Information about temperature, wind speed and direction, humidity and air quality has been provided on a special webpage prepared for Maha Kumbh. It provides hourly, three-hourly and weekly forecasts for Prayagraj and nearby cities Ayodhya, Lucknow, Agra, Kanpur and Varanasi.

Maha Kumbh police was fully alert on Paush Purnima, the first bathing festival 
of Maha Kumbh. On the other hand, crores of people flocked to the Sangam coast for holy bath on Paush Purnima, the first bathing festival of Maha Kumbh. During this time, the police was fully alert in maintaining security with polite behavior. According to the police, although about 800 signage boards have been installed by the fair administration to show the way to the devotees, but people showed more trust in UP Police. Be it pontoon bridge or sector, whenever the devotees asked the police force for directions to go anywhere, the policemen would show them the way with full politeness. Seeing this politeness of the police, the devotees also looked very happy. This time, on the instructions of the UP government, policemen have been trained on a large scale for Maha Kumbh. Policemen were given behavioral training for two months continuously in the Police Line located at Parade, the effect of which was visible on the first bathing festival on Monday.
