Mahalaxmi Vrat 2024: Every year, the Mahalakshmi fast starts from the Ashtami date of Shukla Paksha of Bhadrapada month. At the same time, it ends on the Ashtami date of Krishna Paksha of Ashwin month. During this time, there is a law to worship Goddess Lakshmi specially. When is the completion of Mahalaxmi fast?

According to the Panchang, the Ashtami Tithi of Krishna Paksha of Ashwin month will start on September 24 at 05:45 pm. This Tithi will end the next day i.e. on September 25 at 04:44 pm. The Udyaapan of Mahalaxmi Vrat will be done on September 24.

 

 

Method of starting the fast of Mahalaxmi (Mahalaxmi Vrat Udyapan Vidhi)

On the day of Mahalakshmi Vrat, wake up in Brahma Muhurta and start the day by meditating on Maa Lakshmi. Clean the house thoroughly and wear clean clothes after taking a bath. Place the idol of Maa Lakshmi on a stool . Also keep gold and silver coins at the place of worship. There is a ritual of tying a thread with 16 knots at the beginning of Mahalakshmi Vrat. Tie this thread on your hand during the worship on the last day of Mahalakshmi Vrat. Now light 16 lamps of desi ghee and worship Maa Lakshmi according to the rituals. Keep this thread in the safe the next day of the fast. It is believed that this does not cause a shortage of wealth and grains.

 

Offer these things to Goddess Lakshmi

During the puja, you should take special care that whatever material you are offering, it should be in the number of sixteen. Like 16 makeup and 16 cloves etc. Apart from this, you can also offer batasha, makhana, flowers and rice to Goddess Lakshmi. After this, offer kheer, fruits and sweets etc. to Goddess Lakshmi. Also pray for attainment of happiness and peace.
