Mahoba News: In Mahoba, the JE of the Electricity Department duped thousands of electricity consumers of half a hundred villages in such a way that everyone was shocked. Fake receipts were given to farmers and consumers after paying the electricity bills. The JE has been accused of embezzling Rs 2.5 crore in this game going on for 2 years. Seeing the matter getting exposed, the JE got himself transferred to another sub-centre. But now when the three-member team formed for investigation found the matter to be true, the Superintending Engineer of the department has suspended the guilty JE.

Regarding this matter, the MLA has written a letter to the Energy Minister and other officials for taking action against the JE. After this case of cheating and embezzlement with consumers came to light, there is a stir in the electricity department. This unique case of cheating thousands of electricity consumers including farmers is of the electricity subdivision Ajanar under the Kulpahar tehsil of the district. In which thousands of electricity consumers of half a hundred villages are connected to two feeders. The JE posted in the subdivision cheated them in the name of depositing electricity bills worth crores of rupees.

Seeing the matter getting escalated, the JE was transferred
. It is said that a fake receipt was given after depositing the bill in the electricity subdivision Ajanar. But when the new bill came, the consumers were shocked to see that the amount deposited was not included in it. Not only this, despite the bill of irrigation tube well electricity connection being waived, the bill was forcibly collected from the farmers and the money was embezzled by giving fake receipts. When the matter came to light, an attempt was made to suppress the matter by hastily transferring Amit Pandey, junior engineer of the electricity subdivision Ajanar.

Farmer Vikram Rajput, resident of Dhaurya village, has alleged that despite the waiver of private tube well electricity connection, junior engineer Amit Pandey threatened him and made him deposit Rs. 3800 and gave him a fake receipt. Similarly, farmers Bhairav ​​Lal, Hardayal, Uma Rajput Anmol Singh, Lilavati Dharmjeet, Ramdas etc., despite their private tube well bills being waived, were forcibly duped of money in the name of depositing the bill and a fake receipt of the department was made and given to them. When this huge fraud came into discussion, the accused Amit Pandey was transferred to the subdivision of Mahoba city by the department to save him.

Amit Pandey suspended after being found guilty
The three-member team has suspended Amit Pandey after finding him guilty. Regarding this matter, Charkhari MLA Brijbhushan Rajput said that the consumers of the rural areas have been defrauded. The JE has embezzled more than Rs. 2.5 crore by charging arbitrary bills and giving fake receipts. For which a letter was also sent to the Energy Minister, on which action has been taken. Along with this the MLA has also demanded that the money of all the consumers be returned.
