She has not yet taken official membership of BJP. MLA Nirmala Sapre joined BJP in front of CM Mohan Yadav in an election meeting in Rahatgarh of Sagar district on 5 May 2024 during the Lok Sabha elections. But did not take primary membership of BJP. After this, Nirmala is also continuously participating in BJP programs.

During the Lok Sabha elections, Nirmala Sapre left Congress and joined BJP. Regarding this, Congress had filed a complaint in Madhya Pradesh Assembly to terminate her membership. In response to this, Nirmala said recently that she has not presented any evidence that proves that she changed parties. From this answer, it is not possible to decide which party Nirmala Sapre belongs to. Congressmen of Bina opened a unique front regarding this answer. Today, Congress leaders took to the streets against MLA Nirmala Sapre and insisted on putting Congress flag on her house and office. After this, there was a scuffle with the police. Police chased them away with water cannon.

Congress workers gathered at Sarvodaya Square in Bina. After this, hundreds of Congress workers carrying party flags in their hands marched towards the MLA's house and office. As soon as the news of this protest spread, the police and administration team reached there in advance. The police barricaded the Ambedkar intersection so that no one could go towards the MLA's residence and office. Heavy police force was deployed all around.

Congress workers removed the barricades and started moving forward. After this, there was a scuffle between them and the police. Here the police tried to push the Congress workers back by using water cannon. Seeing the situation, police force was also called from Sagar district including Aagasaud, Khimlasa, Bhangarh, Khurai urban, Khurai rural.

Block Congress President Anurag Singh Thakur said that MLA Nirmala Sapre has replied to the Vidhan Sabha on October 10 that she has neither taken membership of BJP nor left Congress. When she has not left Congress, what objection can she have with the Congress flag. After this, we are going to hoist the flag, but the police is stopping us. Why the police is stopping us is also not understood. When the MLA is in our own party, then this is an internal matter of our party. What is the role of the police in this? We are not doing any violence or disturbance. We are going to request the MLA in a peaceful manner that you should hoist the party flag.

Amidst the confusion over the resignation of Bina MLA Nirmala Sapre, she has refused to leave the Congress. This was revealed in the reply regarding cancellation of membership under the anti-defection law. Nirmala Sapre also sent a reply to the Assembly Speaker Narendra Singh Tomar on October 10. She wrote that the Leader of Opposition in the Assembly did not send any proof to show that she has joined the BJP. Now Assembly Speaker Tomar will hear both the parties on October 21. Nirmala Sapre has refused to resign saying that she is not a member of the BJP.

The Election Commission has announced the dates for by-elections in Vijaypur and Budhni in Madhya Pradesh. Voting will be held on these assembly seats on November 13 and the results will be declared on November 23. But in the meantime, the matter is stuck on the Bina seat.

Although Congress MLA Nirmala Sapre has joined BJP, she has not yet resigned from the post of MLA. Due to this, by-election could not be announced in Bina.
