
An Indian citizen was stabbed to death near Ottawa city of Canada. Police have detained a suspect in connection with this incident. The Indian High Commission in Ottawa, the capital of Canada, said that the incident took place in Rockland. However, the High Commission did not reveal the identity of the victim.

"We are deeply saddened by the tragic death of an Indian national who was stabbed in Rockland, near Ottawa. Police have informed that a suspect has been taken into custody," the High Commission said in a post on Twitter on Friday.
"We are in contact with the grieving family through the local community association to provide all possible assistance," the post said. According to CTV News, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) said the shooting happened near Lalonde Street in Rockland around 3 p.m. on Friday.
Where did the incident happen?
The site is about 40 kilometres east of downtown Ottawa. Police have not yet said what charges have been filed against the man in custody, the report said.
The OPP said there are no concerns for public safety. "As we are in the early stages of the investigation, no further information can be released," CTV News quoted Ontario Provincial Police as saying.
