New Delhi: National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval said the country has grown rapidly in the last 10 years. However, if our borders were more secure, safe and not under adverse occupation, India would have progressed at a faster pace. "Whatever land we have occupied is ours, the rest is the work of courts. It doesn't matter," he said.

Speaking at the Rustamji Memorial Lecture organised by the Border Security Force (BSF) at the 21st Investiture Ceremony on Friday, NSA Doval said that India's economic progress would have picked up pace if the country's borders were more secure. In the near future, we do not think that our borders will be so secure that we can achieve rapid economic development. Therefore, the military forces deployed on the borders have a huge burden on their shoulders. They always have to be alert 2437. They have to take care of our national interests and the country's security all the time.

The country's borders are extremely important because they define our sovereignty. He said that in the last ten years, the Indian government has paid a lot of attention to the security of the borders. Our national strength has increased during this period. The National Security Advisor said that India is changing very fast. In the next ten years, we will become a 10 trillion dollar economy. Along with that, we will become the third largest economy in the world, which is a very big thing.

He said that India has the largest workforce. Along with this, India will be a hub in various fields of high-tech artificial intelligence (AI), semiconductors, quantum computing and defense and security manufacturing. In this changing India, prosperity will also guarantee security to some extent. He said that India has exported weapons worth $ 2.5 billion till March 31 this year. This feat of becoming a big exporter is another step towards self-reliance of government policies and self-reliant India.

'You can't control the border if the local population is against you'

National Security Advisor Ajit Doval praised the Border Security Force and said that it is doing a great job of protecting the country's borders. It is also making a special contribution to internal security from time to time. He said in a light-hearted manner, "Chanakya's mantra is that if the local population is against you, then you cannot control the border."

He said that security arrangements on the border can be made only by winning the hearts of the local people. The local people should not feel that the uniformed people are controlling them. Praising Israel's way of protecting its border, he said that Iran had fired 1500 missiles on Israel, out of which 99 percent missiles were stopped. This is the wonder of their technology in the defense sector.
