UP News: Richa Rajput, member of Uttar Pradesh State Backward Class Commission, has lodged an FIR in the case of objectionable comments on social media. Richa Rajput has filed a case against Surya Samajwadi ex-handler in Hazratganj police station of Lucknow on Thursday. She alleged that abusive language was used against her from this handle and an attempt was made to provoke a particular caste.
Richa Rajput, a member of the State Backward Classes Commission, is also the state spokesperson of the BJP. On Thursday, she gave a written complaint to the police at Lucknow's Hazrat police station, in which she alleged that social media ex-handler Surya Samajwadi (@surya_samajwadi) posted against her on October 8. In which objectionable language was used against her.
Richa Rajput said in her complaint
that criminal activities are being carried out continuously from this handle. In which abusive language and screenshots are being posted on women and dignitaries, Dalits and backward people. Casteist comments are being made continuously. Especially Yadav, Lodhi and Kshatriya community are being affected. Information has been received that hatred is being spread by hiding identity from this handle. Its possible name is being told as Shakeel Tanveer.
He said that rumours related to elections were spread from this handle. Fake videos of EVM malfunctioning were posted. Complaints have been lodged from many handles for this.
In this case, the police have registered a case on charges of using abusive language by hiding identity on social media, spreading election related rumours,
calling the encounter of UP police fake, and inciting a particular caste. An FIR has been registered against the accused under section 353 (2), 196 of BNS and IT Act 66D and 67. Police is investigating this matter. Further action is being taken in the case.
