Kiran Kher was married

Talking about those days, Anupam Kher said- 'Kiran was married, but I was not. We were good friends for 12 years. She used to be my senior in college. She was an India level badminton player. I moved to Mumbai to make a career in acting and after marrying Gautam Berry, she also came to Mumbai. During the days of struggle, Satish Kaushik and I would often go to Kiran and Gautam's house and she would also give us money for taxi, but we used to save that money and travel by bus.'

When both were in bad relationships

Anupam told that their friendship was based on a strong foundation and later this friendship turned into love. This happened when both of them were going through a bad phase in their relationship. Anupam said, 'When Kiran was going through a tough time in her marriage, I was also going through a bad phase. The girl I was with left me. During this time Kiran and I fell in love, then we got married.'

Who was Gautam Berry

Gautam Berry was a famous businessman who fell in love with Kiran as soon as he saw her. After this, Kiran also fell in love with him and then in 1979 both decided to get married. Shortly after marriage, Kiran gave birth to a son, Sikandar. But, soon after, problems started arising in the relationship between Kiran and Gautam.
