A supporter of former US President Donald Trump set himself on fire outside the court. Let us tell you that the hearing in the Hush Money case related to Trump was going on in the Manhattan Court of New York. Meanwhile, there was chaos outside the court premises. According to eyewitnesses present at the spot, the person first threw pamphlets in the air, then poured the can on himself and set himself on fire. A New York emergency official said a man was taken away on a stretcher after allegedly setting himself on fire. The cause of the incident has not been confirmed. Others said that the man seemed calm before pouring the flammable liquid on himself, while a person present at the spot said that the person who set himself on fire had come to this place in an attempt to deliver a political message.

A woman resident of Manhattan said, "They had two big poster boards. It was written on them that Biden and Trump were together." According to a Reuters witness, the smell of smoke wafted through the plaza immediately after the incident and a police officer sprayed fire extinguishers on the ground. In this situation, a smoldering bag and a gas can were visible. The police immediately taped the incident site. Nearby, a pamphlet was also found, calling for "exposing corruption".

A crowd of protesters and spectators gathered amid heavy police security at the Manhattan Courthouse in the city on the first day of the hearing on Monday, although the crowd has since thinned. A shocking development has come to light soon after the jury selection for the trial was completed.

On the other hand, Trump has called the trial in the hush money case a "Witch Hunt", although he did not comment on the person who set himself on fire. Former US President Donald Trump on Friday (April 19) called the hush money case a "malicious attempt to entrap". "This is truly a witch hunt," Trump told court reporters. "What's happening with the judicial system here is outrageous," he said.

The shocking development came shortly after jury selection for the trial was completed, clearing the way for prosecutors and defense attorneys to deliver opening statements Monday in a case involving hush money paid to a porn star . Officials later said it did not appear that the person who set the fire intended to target Trump.
