The mercury has reached above 47 degrees during Hajj. This has increased difficulties especially for the elderly. 6 people have died due to extreme heat in Mecca.

14 Jordanians killed 

Now according to the latest update, 14 Jordanians have died and 17 others are missing during the ongoing Haj pilgrimage. This information was given by the Jordanian Foreign Ministry in a statement on Sunday. Earlier, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates in Jordan had earlier confirmed the death of six Jordanian citizens due to heat stroke on Mount Arafat. However, many other local sources have reported a higher number, according to which 17 pilgrims have died and their names have also been published.

For information, let us tell you that heat stroke is a severe form of heat illness. It occurs due to prolonged exposure to high temperatures. If not treated immediately, this condition can lead to unconsciousness, seizures and even death.
