New Delhi. In the digital age, cyber criminals are making people their victims in different ways. In this episode, cases of loan fraud are increasing rapidly. Recently, a financial influencer Anupam Gupta also became a victim of a loan fraud.

His name and address were used to take a loan without his knowledge. Not only this, after this he started getting continuous calls from Mobikwik agents for this loan which he had not taken.

t present, understanding the seriousness of the matter, Mobikwik has postponed it for some time.

However, the question is that if even a chartered accountant can fall prey to such frauds, then how difficult will it be for a common man to identify such frauds.

What was the whole matter related to loan fraud

Anupam Gupta has given complete information about this loan fraud through his official X handle. He shared a screenshot and told that on March 13, a company took a loan of Rs 30 thousand in his name.

A company with which Anupam had nothing to do with, used Anupam's name and address for this loan.

Red flag was already received

Anupam told with another screenshot that after this loan, on April 28, he started getting calls and WhatsApp messages to repay the loan amount.

He was shocked when the Mobikwik agent asked him to pay the money. When he asked for the details, he found out that a loan had been taken in his name.

After this, Anupam asked for the details of the UPI number on which the loan amount was transferred and he found that this number was not his. After this, Anupam lodged a complaint with the police regarding the loan fraud in his name.

Anupam told that some time ago he had received a CIBIL notification that a loan was being taken on his account. However, he ignored it.
