Mohanlal spoke on the controversy of Empuraan

Mohanlal said on the controversy of L2 Empuraan, “I have come to know that some of the political-social themes that have emerged in the expressions of Empuraan, the second part of the Lucifer franchise, have deeply disappointed many of my fans. As an artist, it is my duty to ensure that none of my films spread hatred towards any political movement, idea or religion. Hence, I and the team of Empuraan sincerely apologize for the mental agony caused to my fans.”

Mohanlal further added in the post, "I realise that the responsibility lies with all of us who have worked for the film, we have collectively decided to essentially remove such portions from the film. I have lived my cinematic life for the last four decades by being one of you people. Your love and trust is my only strength. I believe Mohanlal, nothing is greater than that."
