Azamgarh News: Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee General Secretary MP Rakesh Rathore and Organization General Secretary Anil Yadav reached the Sidha Sultanpur village of Azamgarh. Five children died of Galghotu disease in the Sidha Sultanpur village of Mirzapur block. Many villages of the district are affected by this disease. On this matter, MP Rakesh Rathore said that the matter of death of innocent children due to Galghotu will be raised in Parliament. Eight children have died in the last one month and the administration is sleeping.

 

He said that the children who died are very poor. Most of them are from the Nat community. MP Rakesh Rathore, who reached Sultanpur directly, said that the government which is beating the drum of development should come directly to Sultanpur village and see what condition the BJP government has brought the poor to. There is no road to reach the village. There is no toilet. There is no housing. The life of the poor people has become hell.

 

What did organization general secretary Anil Yadav say?


Organization general secretary Anil Yadav said that on the instructions of general secretary Priyanka Gandhi ji, we have come to Sultanpur village of Mirzapur block. The entire Congress party is committed to fight this battle strongly. He said that the disease is spreading continuously due to the negligence of the administration. Despite such a big incident, the administration is not desisting from negligence. The effect of this disease is being seen in many villages of the district. The Nat Basti in Sultanpur does not even have basic facilities. The drains are full of filth. There is a problem even with toilets.

 

After listening to the problems of the people in the village, the delegation met the District Magistrate Azamgarh and asked him to take action against the negligent officers. They demanded housing for the families


of the children who died of tetanus, toilets in the village, drains for water drainage, guarantee of treatment of infected children and compensation of Rs. 10 lakh each for the families of the dead children.
