In the beginning of October, the price of Brent crude has fallen below $70 per barrel. The price has fallen by 9 percent in the month of September and by 17 percent in the third quarter i.e. July-August and September. According to news agency Reuters, the main reason for the fall in crude is the crisis in the Gulf countries and the expectation of low demand and increased supply in the coming time.
Morgan Stanley has estimated that in the year 2025, there will be a surplus situation in the crude oil market, that is, production will be more than the demand. In such a situation, countries like India, which buy crude in large quantities, will directly benefit.
