Punjab News: A major robbery has been reported in Amritsar. A major robbery has taken place at a dry fruit cold store on Jhabal Road in Amritsar. This is a different kind of robbery in itself. You must have often heard of robbery of gold and cash but you might be hearing of robbery of dry fruits for the first time. Dry fruits worth Rs 2 crore have been looted from a cold store on Jhabal Road in Amritsar. The robbers who came to commit the robbery fled after loading the dry fruits in two vehicles.
Let us tell you that 35 to 40 robbers came to this cold store and looted it and fled. They looted goods worth about two crores and fled. This cold store had goods of Majitha Mandi Dry Fruit Grocery Association.
The workers here were held captive and the robbery was carried out at gunpoint. The robbers looted cashew nuts, cardamom, figs, sogi, black pepper, black gram, cashew nuts and almonds and expensive dry fruits. They came in a truck, a car and a motorcycle. The robbers also took away the CCTV cameras and DVR to destroy the evidence. The owner of the cold store says that we came to know in the morning that a robbery has taken place.
