Two Indians were killed in a car accident in County Carlow in Ireland on January 31 morning. Superintendent Anthony Farrell of Carlow Garda Station said a black Audi was travelling on the A6 towards Carlow when it collided with a tree. The occupants, Bhargav Chitturi and Suresh Cherukuri were declared dead at the scene.

 

Two others were seriously injured in the accident. They were taken to St Luke's General Hospital in Kilkenny for treatment. The injured include a young man and a young woman.

 

According to The Irish Times, the four friends were living in the same house and had recently completed their studies at the South East Technological University in Carlow. One of them worked for local pharmaceutical company MSD.

 

The Indian Embassy in Dublin expressed its deepest condolences on their deaths. The embassy said officials are in touch with the families and friends of the deceased.

 

It will also provide all possible help to the two Indian nationals injured in the incident. The Indian community has also expressed grief over the demise of Bhargav Chitturi and Suresh Cherukuri and has come forward for last rites and other help.
