Israel-Hamas War: Amid the ongoing unrest in the Middle East, US President Joe Biden has placed an important condition before Hamas for a ceasefire. At a fundraiser event in Seattle on Saturday, he claimed that a ceasefire in the war in Gaza is possible 'tomorrow' if Hamas releases the hostages.

There will be a ceasefire tomorrow if...

During the program, Biden said, 'Before we begin, I would like to answer a question related to the hostages. You know, there will be a ceasefire tomorrow if...Hamas releases the hostages, women, elderly and injured. Israel has said that it is up to Hamas whether they want a ceasefire or not. If Hamas wants a ceasefire, it will release the hostages. We will end it tomorrow itself and the ceasefire will start from tomorrow.'

Earlier this week, Israeli and Hamas negotiating teams left Cairo, Egypt, without reaching an agreement, CNN reported. Earlier on Friday, the families of five Americans held hostage in Gaza met with national security adviser Jake Sullivan and Middle East coordinator Brett McGurk.

Hamas alleges, Israel does not want ceasefire

Hamas also accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of 'obstructing' ceasefire talks. Israel has repeatedly refused to agree to a permanent ceasefire in Gaza. It will continue the war even after all hostages are released until Hamas is defeated.

The remarks came days after Biden vowed to halt the delivery of more than 3,000 heavy bombs to Israel and keep Israel's offensive weapons in check, The Hill reported.
